What to wear for your Job Interview
You have a few days left until the big interview for that job you really want! A thought enters your mind. What should I wear?
Not to worry – Read our tips on what to wear to make a good lasting first impression!
Dress for Success!
Tip 1: The White Shirt
If you don’t have a white shirt – get one! It has been suggested that employers see clean, crisp white shirts as a sign that the person being interviewed is business minded, organised and has a great eye for detail. Qualities needed for any level of software testing jobs. Remember that saying? People make a perception of you in the first few seconds of meeting you?
Tip 2: Your Hair
Neat and Simple.
Tip 3: The Suit
No jeans! We have all seen it in 80′s Hollywood films but it does not matter if the whole company you are interviewing for is dressed down. Make sure you wear a suit for your software testing interview. If you don’t want to wear black, try navy or grey.
Tip 4: The Tie
No lights, no images & no funny stuff. If you have the job and it is Christmas, then a novelty tie with lights and music you can get away with. However, the last thing you want to do is wear a novelty tie at an interview. You want to be taken seriously after all. Wear a tie that compliments your suit and shirt.
Tip 5: The Shoes
Make an effort to make sure your shoes look clean. Subliminally, this gives the impression that you put effort into all aspects of your life. Including your work.

Hi Chris
Minus the tie tip. Why do you feel this can’t be attended towards women too?
What recommendations And tips would you add or dismiss?

Basically because I think women have more options, men can revert to an adult version of school uniform and be considered smart.

That’s a very good point.
Would be great to get a women’s perspective on this as I personally can only give my view point.
