Job Description

I am looking for automation web testers who have ideally come from a development background with varying levels of experience. You will be a Test Automation wizard and a hands on expert, contributing leadership and advanced Test Automation and Quality Assurance capability to the Technology team with experience of working within AGILE environments to the SCRUM methodology.
Experience with testing web services,writing automated tests,scripting in C#,Java or Python using Selenium,Fitness or Cucumber is highly desirable!
The clients are various digital media and telecoms/broadcasting giants
These are permanent roles and salary ranges between £35,000-£50,000
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing varying levels of support and hands on expertise to Technology in the specialism of test automation including related strategies, tools, and techniques.
- Develop and maintain appropriate test automation frameworks, test harnesses, test scripts, test environments and test data to support testing of systems and products.
- Identify, select and/or develop and deploy appropriate test automation tools for effective testing of sprint and release deliverables e.g. scrum goals/sprints, smoke tests, integration tests, regression tests.
- Continuous integration testing and deployment.
- Develop effective tests using standard or bespoke test tools and techniques e.g. QTP, Selenium, Xpath, XMLDOM, Java/JavaScript, VB Script, in common environments such as Linux and Windows.
- Manage defects ensuring they are correctly recorded, reported, followed up, and retested for effective resolution.
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for the NM Technical environment.
- Take responsibility for personal development in the role, keeping abreast with technologies, test tools, test techniques.

- Essential: Strong team player, strong Communication and Interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Essential: Commitment to timely achievement of business goals with high technical excellence.
- Essential: Strong background in Technical testing and QA: design, planning, creation, execution.
- Essential: Strong experience with common test automation and test management tools e.g. Selenium,
- Essential: Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. keyword driven, data driven, hybrid.
- Essential: Knowledge of Scrum and/or agile development techniques, ideally in a test driven development environment.
- Essential: Understanding of large-scale websites architecture and infrastructure.
- Essential: Experience of working with relational databases and SQL.
Skills:
- Advanced level test automation skills for testing web components and applications in a fast paced agile development.
- Software development skills in Java/ Linux environment especially web services and XML processing
- Strong skills in scripting (JavaScript, VBScript, shell scripting) in a technical test environment.
- Ability to manage junior QA/test engineers in Test Automation tasks.
